On Saturday 3 of our team at M12 Solutions, Mel, Terri & Ruth ran the Pretty Muddy Race for Life in aid of Cancer Research UK.
The race was a 5k route on Southsea Common, interspersed with various wet and muddy obstacles. From obstacles to climb over, crawl under or wade through – all were very muddy! We had to jump along a section of the course on space hoppers, crawl through tunnels, under ropes, over walls and hurdles and at the very end we slid down an inflatable slide into a big pool of mud! All great fun and for a good cause.
All three of us have lost loved ones to cancer and so we thought this would be the perfect way to raise some money for Cancer Research UK, a charity close to our hearts. Together we have raised £560. Cancer Research are world leaders in finding new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer, so a very worthy cause and we hope this money will make a difference.
